Vipers (Girls U-16 HS-3) Coached by Bill Gallagher. The Vipers are a select group of young ladies in Northern Westchester, who are in their third year in the EHYSL. Our girls come from Croton, Hen Hud and Panas High Schools. Spring of 2009 found the Vipers in the HS # 4 Division, where they came together and became the team they knew they were, winning the title of Division Champions. The girls took off the fall of 2009, to concentrate on their HS teams, and many found themselves involved with other HS sports during the winter, being the well rounded athletes they are. Spring 2010 looks to be another good year for these ladies, as the team has elected to move up to Division # 3 and enjoy another season of soccer. The Cortlandt Vipers have openings for 3 girls looking to play alongside the veteran members. Please contact the team if you think you might want to join… whg63@verizon.net

Pythons (Boys U-13) -Coached/managed by Sean Thomann. Erik van der Wilden (D coaching license) is the assistant coach in charge of training. The Pythons are midway through their second season with the Cortlandt Soccer club. The team is made up mainly of players from the Cortlandt area that had achieved all they could in AYSO and was looking for new challenges. After starting in Div 3 for their inaugural season in the Fall of 2008 and going 7-0-1 they moved up to Div 2 for the Spring season to get some real competition. The competition was much better and the team went 3-3-2 for the Spring, completing a successful first year at the club level. For the Fall 2009 season we were moved up to Div 1, not by choice but mainly by attrition, as a few Div 1 teams moved up in age or on to Premier leagues. Although playing a bit over our heads our players took on the challenge and, despite a 1-8-1 season, felt like we competed well and with just a little luck could have been at least a .500 team. We look forward to replaying these same teams in the Spring and winning the 5 or 6 close games that went against us in the Fall. At this time we have one slot available for a dynamic player to help this team conquer Div 1.
